Your views to RGB Public Space Protection Order changes

The Council intend to extend the use of Public Space Protection Orders (PSPOs) across the Royal Borough and within certain priority locations. It is proposed that two new orders will replace, and also build on, the orders that currently exist and are ripe for renewal and/or revision.

The Safer Spaces team will be consulting with a wide range of stakeholder and community groups to gauge their views of the anti-social issues identified and proposals to tackle them.

With the introduction of a Safer Spaces Community Safety Enforcement team, a pilot with a third-party environmental enforcement company enabling greater resilience with enforcing low level enviro-crime, and the additional integrated working with the local police, there is now greater opportunity to expand use of the PSPOs to impact positively in terms of anti-social behaviour and associated criminality.

The statutory public consultation process to enable final decision making commences today – midday 4th August 2020 and concludes close 4thSeptember 2020.

The following links contains all of the relevant documentation, evidence base, and details of the online survey being used to capture views.
