Volunteer Vacancy School’s Engagement

Due to our increasing Schools programme we are currently recruiting for a VOLUNTEER SCHOOL ENGAGEMENT COORDINATOR.

The successful candidate will be required to deliver our Be Proud Of Your Area programme to Secondary Schools and as this is working with schools you will have to have an up to date Enhanced DBS certificate. If you don’t have one, you will have to get one, as a volunteer this would cost £15 instead of the usual £55.

Prior experience is not necessary, A passion for Neighbourhood Watch, enthusiasm and a desire to help inspire a new generation of community minded youth would be great.

The Be Proud of Your Area imitative is a 6 week programme for an hour a week in a school.

You would be working with small groups of children aged 11-16.

Week one and two would be talking with them about crime prevention and the types of crimes that are around. What Neighbourhood Watch does by bringing communities together in various ways.

They will be starting a programme to help with crime prevention in their own area and planning this with their friends.

They will be doing their projects and at end will produce a project and present it and be given a certificate

If you feel you can or would like to do this, we will provide training, please let us know.
